慶塚漆器工房について

蒔絵師を志した初代が塗師屋に転向したのは大正８年。自らの理想とする漆工芸を志したのが始まりでした。

「日本一の漆器は俺が作る」という自負と覚悟をこめて丸に一の字の紋章を作りました。

手間も時間も惜しみなく注ぎ込み、まごころを込めて制作した塗もの。

本物の輪島塗の伝統技法を守り、上塗りには国産漆を使用しております。

皆様には、その品質の証である「わじま慶塚」のしるしを添えてお届けいたします。

About Keizuka Lacquerware Workshop

Our first owner who originally was training to become a maki-e (lacquerware decoration) artisan decided to change his career and become a lacquerware artisan (lacquer coat applier) in 1919. This workshop started out with the first owner’s ambition to pursue his ideal form of lacquer art.
Embodying his confidence and resolution, our crest features a circle and the kanji character for one – it symbolizes our commitment to creating the best lacquerware in Wajima and in Japan!
Putting in extensive time and effort, we create lacquerware with great care.
We adhere to the authentic traditional techniques of Wajima lacquerware and use nothing but Japan-made lacquer for the final coat.
Our products are delivered to customers along with the Wajima Keizuka logo which certifies this quality.

漆の精製について
Lacquer Refining

当工房では、採取したままの原料国産生漆を仕入れ、輪島漆器商工業協同組合精漆工場で精製しております。

漆の精製の工程をホームページでご紹介させていただきます。

We purchase raw lacquer collected in Japan in its original state and refine it at the Lacquer Refining Plant of the Wajima Lacquerware Commerce and Industry Cooperative Association.
We’d like to introduce you the process of refining lacquer here in this website.



①採取したままの原材料生漆(水分やごみ等が混入している) 1. Raw lacquer in its original state when collected (contains moisture, bits of tree bark, dust, etc.)	②撹拌機にいれ撹拌する 2. Raw lacquer is stirred in an agitator.	③表面に反射熱を与え水分を除去する(２時間から３時間) 3. Moisture is removed by heating the surface with reflected heat (for 2 to 3 hours).



④漆自体は黒さを持っていないので、鉄剤を加える 4. Since black is not the original color of natural lacquer, iron oxide is added to make it black.	⑤精製漆の品質をガラス板に塗布して検査する 5. The quality of the refined lacquer is inspected by applying it to a glass plate.	⑥精製された漆 6. Refined lacquer



⑦遠心分離機に漆液と綿をいれる 7. The refined lacquer and cotton are placed in a centrifuge.	⑧漆と綿を混ぜ、綿にごみをからめ除去する 8. The lacquer and cotton are stirred to remove dust, tree bark bits and such by catching them with the cotton.	⑨ろ過され上塗漆となります 9. The cleansed lacquer is then filtered to create a high-grade lacquer to be used for final coating.

輪島塗の伝統技法を守りながら、全行程を一貫して製作｜わじま慶塚While adhering to the traditional techniques of Wajima lacquerware, we perform all process steps right here at our workshop: Wajima Keizuka
